Brentwood scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to beat Ravenwood 7-6 Saturday in the District 11-AAA tournament after the Raptors tied the game with a six-run sixth.

Tyson Ashcraft got the victory on the mound, while Chase Denton took the loss.

The Bruins, seeded second in the tournament, now advance in the winners bracket against top-seeded and tournament host Independence at 7 p.m. Monday.

Ravenwood dropped into the losers bracket and stayed alive by defeating Centennial 12-8 later Saturday. The third-seeded Raptors, who pounded Hillsboro 10-1 in Friday's opening round game, now face Franklin at 4:30 p.m. Monday in an elimination game.
