This past weekend, 97 rising seniors and 17 faculty members from Brentwood Academy went to Fort Bluff Camp in Dayton, Tenn., for the 22nd annual Senior Theme Verse Retreat.

The main purpose of the retreat is to help the seniors understand and realize their responsibility and opportunity to lead and serve our entire school.

While at the retreat, the seniors made two important decisions:

1. This year's school wide service project will be the Wounded Warrior Project. ( http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ ) The seniors are extremely excited about this project.

2. After more than three hours of small group time, prayer, discussion, and deliberation the seniors chose Colossians 3:12-14 as this year’s theme verse.

12) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

13) Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

14) And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (NIV)

The theme verse is selected by the seniors for the entire school and serves as a focal point throughout the year for activities at Brentwood Academy.

While on the retreat, seniors also had the chance to enjoy miniature golf, swimming, a bonfire and time playing games together.
