Several young Brentwood thespians have starring roles in this weekend’s production of Anything Goes, presented by The Star Bright Players, the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s award-winning children’s theater group.C
Cole Porter’s classic Broadway musical is being staged at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Freedom Middle School, 750 Highway 96 West, in Franklin.
The teen cast members dance and sing their way through a hilarious trans-Atlantic voyage featuring Porter classics like “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” and of course “Anything Goes.”
Brentwood participants include Trent Jones as the Rev. Henry T. Dodson; Gabriel Pless as Sir Evelyn, and Amanda Miserocchi, Addison Pollard, Molly Tatum and Shelby Tatum as
the Angels.
“It is the funniest production we have ever done and the cast is spot on; just terrific,” said Laurie Kamunen, longtime program administrator. “I’m so proud of the talent we have the opportunity to work with.”
Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road, or at the door if available. Admission is $6 per person. Children 3 and younger are admitted free if sitting with a parent.
