'Soft launch' now; full launch in new year

If silky, smooth, cheesy melt-in-your-mouth homemade chicken lasagna smothered with sweet tomato sauce sounds appetizing, keep reading.
Delicious Day Luncheonette restaurant opened about three weeks ago at 7020 S. Church St. in the Brentwood Court shopping center. Although the restaurant is still working out the kinks before its grand opening in the new year, co-owner and chef Jeanne Giguere said that they are already experiencing success and have repeat customers asking for more of their favorites including chicken salad, chicken noodle soup and an array of different pastas made-from-scratch daily.
The restaurant, which opened for a "soft launch" will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2 for the holidays as will Giguere's two other family restaurants -- one on Music Row, the other inside the United Methodist Publishing House Cafeteria/Corporate Headquarters on Eighth Avenue.
Delicious Day Luncheonette Brentwood is open from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. weekdays. It will also be available in the a.m. or p.m. and weekends for private parties or business meetings.
