Students return to Williamson County Schools on Aug. 12 for their first full day. Here are key dates for student  in the 2010-11 calendar:

  • Thursday, Aug. 12: First full day for students
  • Monday, Sept. 6: (No school) Labor Day (System Closed)
  • Tuesday, Sept. 14: (Half day of School) Parent Teacher Conferences, noon-3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 21: (Half day of School)Parent Teacher Conferences, 4-7 p.m.
  • Mon., Oct. 18-Tue., Oct. 19: (No School)                Fall Break (System Closed Oct. 18)                                               
  • Tue., Nov. 2: (No Students) Election Day (District wide Staff Development Day)
  • Wed, Nov. 24-Fri., Nov. 26: (No School)                Thanksgiving Holiday (System Closed 25-26)
  • Tue., Dec. 14-Fri., Dec. 17: First Semester Exams
  • Fri., Dec. 17: (Full day of School)               End of First Semester (85 instructional days)
  • Mon, Dec. 20-Fri., Dec. 31: (No School) Winter Holiday (System Closed Dec 22.-24 and Dec. 29-31)
  • Mon., Jan. 3: (No Students) Administrative Day (Record keeping)
  • Tue., Jan. 4: First Student Day Second Semester
  • Mon., Jan. 17 (No School): Martin Luther King, Jr.  Day (System Closed)
  • Mon., Feb. 21: (No Students) Presidents’ Day – District wide Staff Development
  • Fri., March 18: (No Students) Site Based Staff Development (All Teachers)
  • Mon., March 21-Fri., March 25: (No School) Spring Break (System Closed March 25)
  • Mon., April 11-Thur., April 21: TCAP Window
  • Fri., April 22: (No School): Good Friday (System Closed)
  • Thur., May 19-Tue., May 24: Semester Exams
  • Tue., May 24: (Students Half-Day) Last Day for Students

Snow Days:  Up to 10 snow days are accumulated in the school calendar through extended work (“stock-piled”) days and will not be made up.  If more than 10 days are missed due to weather-related conditions, each individual day will be made up at the end of the school year, or as decided by the Board of Education.
