Updated 11:25 a.m. Friday Brentwood Home Page news reports Two arrests were made and 35 traffic citations issued during the Brentwood Police Department’s DUI Enforcement Blitz during Cinco de Mayo celebrations on Thursday night.
Six officers used in the enforcement effort made 89 traffic stops. One person was arrested and charged under DUI/Implied Consent laws, and another was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
As part of its Alcohol Countermeasures Program, the BPD had an extra team of officers on duty. Officers also visited establishments that served alcohol during the evening.
“This is part of a larger campaign this year to target and prevent driving under the influence,” Capt. Tommy Walsh said. |
